Chianti offers unique landscapes, characterized by rolling hills, vineyards and olive groves, small villages, churches and characteristic farmhouses. This popular area is also famous for its wine Chianti Classico red wine, produced since Etruscan times, and now famous in all the world.
A local staff and a wine expert will lead you to discover all the secrets of Chianti Classico DOCG, cycling surrounded by beautiful views and visit different wineries each day.

Itinerary
1
Day 1 - Benvenuti in Toscana
Individual arrival at Borgo di Pietrafitta, meet & greet with the staff of Anima Toscana, welcome wine tasting and first introduction to the secret of Chianti Classico.
Dinner in typical restaurant and accommodation in hotel.
Pick-up at Florence airport, train station or hotel on request with extra charge.

Day 2 - Radda in Chianti, Gaiole in Chianti and Castello di Brolio
48 km – Elevation gain: 830 meters
For the first bike tour we’ll reach the south part of Chianti hills and visit two important towns like Radda in Chianti and Gaiole in Chianti.
After a quick stop to visit Gaiole, town of L’Eroica, we’ll cycling up to Castagnoli, medieval fortress surrounded by woods, vineyards and olive trees. We’ll visit the first winery and taste the organic wines produced by the Cantalici brothers.
We’ll then reach the Castello di Brolio, huge Chianti Classico estate and the oldest winery in Italy. Since 1141 the Castle has belonged to the Ricasoli, a very historic family of the Florentine aristocracy. After a quick visit to the garden of the castle, we’ll stop at the Osteria di Brolio for a full lunch with wine pairing.
After lunch we’ll cycle on the beautiful Eroica route and reach Pievasciata and Vagliagli, where we’ll stop for a second wine tour and tasting at Tolaini winery.
Back to Pietrafitta by van or if you prefer you can decide to complete the loop by bike.

Day 3 - Castellina in Chianti, Badia a Passignano and Greve in Chianti
40 km – Elevation gain: 780 meters
The first part of the tour will lead you to Castellina In Chianti, nice medieval town that will quickly visit.
We’ll then take the old road Cassia direction San Donato, this part of the daily ride offers a beautiful view over the Val d’Elsa, with San Gimignano and its old tower on the horizon. Just before the small village of San Donato we’ll visit Fattoria Montecchio, winery located in one of the best terroir of the Chianti.
The second part of the stage will lead you to Badia a Passignano, an ancient monastery dating back to 395, when it was established by the archbishop of Florence, and Montefioralle, a beautiful Medieval hamlet close to Greve in Chianti. From Montefioralle we take a long downhill direction Greve in Chianti and the follow the road to Panzano in Chianti, where we’ll stop to visit a second winery and taste 3 wines.
Back to Pietrafitta by van or if you prefer you can decide to complete the loop by bike.

Day 4 - Arrivederci
Breakfast and individual departure. Private transfer to Florence on request.
Otherwise you can combine the tour with the Bolgheri wine and bike tour.
