You’ll arrive to Radda in Chianti that merits a visit to its historical village, for example having lunch into its nice little alleys. You will then reach, through the small village of Vertine, Gaiole in Chianti, town where L’Eroica was born in 1997.
After Gaiole in Chianti the Eroica route will lead you to the castle of Brolio with its cypress-lined entrance. You can decide also to visit the Castle, owned by the Ricasoli family since 1141, or taste a glass of Chianti Classico at the enoteca. Just outside the city of Siena you’ll ride through a very typical segment of the route, located between “Colle Malamerenda” and Radi, deep in the gentle hills of Siena, studded with farmhouses and medieval villages, merging your ride with the Via Francigena itinerary. The village of Murlo will be the backdrop to the easiest segment of the whole permanent route.
Before to arrive at the hotel, we suggest to have a break in Buonconvento and visit this beautiful medieval village.
