Day 1 - Benvenuti in Toscana
Individual arrival in Siena, dinner on your own and accommodation in hotel 3 stars. Hotel 4 stars available on request with extra charge.

Day 2 - Buonconvento and Montalcino
92 km – Elevation gain: 1850 meters
You will leave Siena behind, cycling surrounded by the landscapes of the Val d’Arbia up to the small village of Ville di Corsano.
You will cross the route of L'Eroica, passing through Murlo, a small characteristic village.
Downhill direction Buonconvento, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and perfect for a quick stop or have lunch in one of the restaurants in the center.
Leave Buonconvento climbing up to Montalcino, a medieval town surrounded by fine vineyards and land of Brunello di Montalcino wine. Stop in one of the wineries along the way to taste good wine.
The Abbey of Sant’Antimo, one of the most beautiful Romanesque churches in Tuscany.
Bagno Vignoni, cute medieval town where the main square of the village is a big thermal pool which contains the original source of thermal water.
San Quirico d’Orcia, one of the most representative villages of the Val d’Orcia, with the town center full of bars, restaurants and small shops.

Day 3 - Val d'Orcia region
82 km – Elevation gain: 1600 meters
The views of the Val d’Orcia, one of the most evocative places in all Tuscany and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Before Pienza you can admire on the right the famous Vitaleta Chapel, one of the most photographed churches in Tuscany.
Visit of Pienza, the "ideal" city of the Renaissance, also famous for its pecorino cheese. Enjoy a walk in the town center and look out on the panoramic terrace from which you can admire the entire Val d’Orcia.
Castelmuzio and Montisi, small villages out of the most know tourist places.
A quick stop at Montepulciano, with its winding streets and squares.
Monticchiello, a small medieval and charming town.

Day 4 - Crete Senesi to Chianti region
83 km – elevation gain: 1330 meters
An unforgettable ride surrounded by the beautiful views of the Crete Senesi to the edge of Chianti wine region. Crete Senesi, where Calanchi and biancane alternate in this suggestive territory.
Passage from San Giovanni d’Asso, the center of the white truffle of the Crete Senesi and Asciano, small villages with nice churches, streets and square.
Rapolano Terme, town famous for its thermal bath.
Ride through Castelnuovo Berardenga, small village located south of Chianti area.
Villa a Sesta, very nice village with beautiful views over the vineyards.
Possible Climb up to Castello di Brolio on gravel, the view from the Castle is amazing! Before to ride the second part of the tour you will have the opportunity to visit the Castle, dating back to the 11th century and owned by the Ricasoli family since 1141. Take a break at the Agribar, taste the famous Chianti Classico at Enoteca di Brolio.

Day 5 - Monteriggioni, Casole d'Elsa and San Gimignano
95 km – elevation gain: 1560 meters
The first part of the stage will take you to Monteriggioni, one of the most beautiful and intact walled towns in Tuscany.
Stop to visit the monastic complex of Abbadia a Isola, a Benedictine monastery founded at the beginning of the year 1000.
Ride along the Val d’Elsa direction Casole d’Elsa, small hamlet set among the hills of the characteristic Sienese countryside.
Final arrival in San Gimignano, the famous medieval village with beautiful towers. Thanks to the strategic position of the hotel, you will have the opportunity to visit the last UNESCO site of this trip.

Day 6 - Volterra Loop
83 km – elevation gain: 1760 meters
You will start riding direction Gambassi Terme, where we suggest a break before the final part of the stage. You can also take a relaxing break at the thermal baths of the Via Francigena.
Central part of the stage coincides with the ancient “Via del sale” (“salt road”), which connected Volterra to Florence and the Siena area.
Arrival in Volterra, village built on a hill between the Era and Cecina valleys, medieval-looking city, where you can still enjoy the atmosphere of a historic village.
Back to San Gimignano riding up and down surrounded by beautiful views.

Day 7 - Certaldo and Chianti Fiorentino
94 km – elevation gain: 1480 meters
Certaldo, the magical village of Boccaccio. You can make a small deviation to the route and reach Certaldo Alta, where the oldest part of the town is located.
Tavarnelle and San Donato in Poggio, discovering the hills covered by vineyards and olive groves.
Last part of the stage completely set in the Chianti Fiorentino.
Panzano in Chianti, the village became very popular in the last years for its butcher Dario Cecchini, famous for the Fiorentina steak!
The triangular square of Greve in Chianti, with the archied loggias that line its three side. Greve has developed around this piazza over the last 500 years. In the southernmost corner stands the church of Santa Croce, home to several interesting works of art by the Fra Angelico school. Under the arched loggia, you will find numerous stores selling wine, ceramics, artisan products and all kinds of local food
Discover the surrounded of Florence and Impruneta, small village a few kilometers outside the city center.
